Welcome to Pilot Car Company. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Services
Pilot Car Company provides pilot car / escort services for oversize loads, mobile homes, super loads, and high-pole operations. We provide lead vehicles, chase vehicles, and route survey services in the Pacific Northwest and nationwide as permitted.
2. Pricing and Payment
• Quotes are valid for 30 days.
• Payment is due prior to service unless other arrangements are made.
• We accept cash, check, and ACH payments.
• Fuel surcharges, tolls, and permits are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice receive a full refund.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to the start-up/show-up fee.
• No-shows or same-day cancellations are non-refundable.
4. Client Responsibilities
The client must provide accurate load dimensions, weight, origin, destination, and any special requirements. Client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and approvals.
5. Limitation of Liability
Pilot Car Company is not responsible for delays caused by weather, road conditions, law enforcement, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific escort service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
6. Insurance
We maintain commercial auto insurance and general liability coverage. Proof of insurance is available upon request. Client cargo and equipment remain the sole responsibility of the client and their carrier.
7. Safety & Compliance
All escort services are performed in accordance with state and federal regulations. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine a load is unsafe or non-compliant.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Clackamas County, Oregon.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
