Frank Rust – Owner Frank began his career in the trucking industry in the early 1990s, driving dump trucks and operating heavy equipment. In 1995, he joined Schneider National, where he drove vans, flatbeds, tankers, and containers across the United States and Canada.

In 1998, he became an Over-the-Road Trainer, and from 2000 to 2008 he worked as a full-time instructor at Schneider National.

Frank and his wife Sara purchased Gary’s Pilot Car Dispatch Company and rebranded it as Pilot Car Company. They have proudly owned and operated the business for over 15 years.

Sara is known as the “Pilot Car Whisperer” Sara brings more than 20 years of transportation experience to the company. Her career started as a Transportation Coordinator and advanced to Driver Manager, where she oversaw both veteran and new drivers. Determined to fully understand the job, she earned her Class A Commercial Driver’s License and gained real-world driving experience.
